Bufala Negra

0.5 tsp
A so-called 'raw' cane sugar that was never refined into white sugar. The sugar molasses has been removed by gravitational separating in a centrifuge. It can be made into a simple syrup by a 1:1 sugar:water ratio by mass.
1 tsp
A sweet and intensly concentrated vinegar used in some cocktails for its tartness, due to the high concentration of acetic acid, and its molasses like sweetness.
4 leaf
A culinary herb in the mint family.
1.5 oz
A whiskey made primarily from a corn grain mash, aged in charred oak barrels.
2 oz
A naturally sweetened and carbonated beverage. It can be bought with or without the addition of alcohol, but this depends on which country you live in.
1 leaf
A culinary herb in the mint family.

Muddle the sugar, vinegar and 4 basil leaves in a cocktail shaker. Add bourbon and ice and shake to dissolve sugar. Strain over ice into a rocks glass, top with ginger beer and garnish with remaining basil leaf. #muddle #shake #ontherocks
