A brandy produced in the wine-region surrounding Cognac, France. Cognac must be twice distilled and aged for at least two years in French oak.

A fortified wine made in the Madeira Islands off the Portugese coast. It is produced in a variety of styles from dry aperitif to sweet dessert wines.
0.25 oz
A French orange-flavored liqueur made from a blend of cognac, bitter orange essence and sugar. It is used in common cocktails like the Cosmopolitan, Sidecar, Sangria and others.
1 dash
A concentrated aromatic bitters made in Trinidad from water, ethanol, gentian and other herbs and spices; used in many classic cocktails like the Manhattan.
1 oz
A sparkling wine produced from grapes grown in Champagne, France. The carbonation is due to secondary fermentation of the wine after it's bottled. For our purposes we treat this the same as Brut and Sparkling Wine.
1 twist
An orange colored citrus fruit. Many types of orange make an appearance in cocktails. The peel and juice are equally valuable to diverse cocktails.

Stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. Top with Champagne. Garnish with an orange twist. #stir #straight
