Aged (añejo) tequilas are aged at least 1 to 3 years in wooden containers often recycled from bourbon, cognac or wine production.

A young mezcal that has not been aged for more than 2 months.

Original Curaçao triple sec, this is an orange flavoured liqueur made from a neutral sugar spirit along with the dried peels of bitter and/or sweet oranges. You can make it yourself! Here is a recipe from Serious Eats: Combine 1/4 cup orange zest (without pith), with 1 cup brandy, and 1 cup vodka in a sealable glass container. Let steep for 19 days. On day 20, add 4 whole cloves, then let steep from an additional day. Bring 2 cups sugar and 1 1/2 cup water to boil until sugar dissolves. Strain the alcoholic mixture through a cheesecloth. Add the syrup, stir to combine then seal. Let rest for 1 more day and enjoy!

A bittersweet Italian amaro made from 13 herbs and plants, but predominantly artichoke (Cynara Scolymus). Drunk as an aperitif and digestif, it has an ABV of 16.5%.

An alcoholic preparation of coffee and sugar. Make your own: 25g coffee grinds, 25g sugar, 250g vodka. Combine in jar and rest for 72 hours, then strain through a filter.

A wine made from dark grape varieties that is allowed to stay in contact with the grape skins, pigments in the skin give the wine its color.
1 twist
An orange colored citrus fruit. Many types of orange make an appearance in cocktails. The peel and juice are equally valuable to diverse cocktails.

Add all, except wine, to a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange twist, then float the red wine on top. #stir #ontherocks
