Alpine Spritz

An Italian apres-ski amaro made from gentian, juniper, wormwood and yarrow, and aged for two years in Slavonian oak. It is commonly 21-25% ABV.

A wine made from non-colored grape pulp (skin removed), primarily white grapes.

A syrup made from dissolving granulated sugar (sucrose) in water. Regular simple is made by combining 1:1 sugar:water by mass, rich simple is 2:1 sugar:water by mass although only 1.5 times as sweet as regular. We always use 1:1 syrup unless otherwise noted in the recipe itself.

A carbonated wine usually from natural fermentation, but increasingly via carbon dioxide injection.
1 sprig
A woody, perennial herb with fragrant, evergreen, needle-like leaves and white, pink, purple, or blue flowers, native to the Mediterranean region. They have a bitter, astringent taste and a characteristic aroma.

Build the ingredients in a double rocks or wine glass over ice, gently stir to combine. Garnish with a rosemary sprig. #build #ontherocks


For the grape syrup: 2 cups purple grapes, 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar. Combine in saucepan over medium heat. Crush the grapes. Let sit for 30 min. Bottle and chill.
