Thanksgiving Cider Punch


1 bottle
A whiskey distilled from a grain mash that contains at least 51% rye, a grass and member of the wheat tribe 'Triticeae.'
4 cup
A non-alcoholic un-filtered beverage made from apples. It is often considered sweet even without adding extra sugar.
1 cup
The most common fruit juice used in cocktails. This citrus juice is about 6% acid; pure citric acid. Lemon juice should be used the day it is squeezed, some like it freshly squeezed and others like it a few hours old.
1 cup
A syrup made from dissolving granulated sugar (sucrose) in water. Regular simple is made by combining 1:1 sugar:water by mass, rich simple is 2:1 sugar:water by mass although only 1.5 times as sweet as regular. We always use 1:1 syrup unless otherwise noted in the recipe itself.
3 oz
A grape distilled base amaro made from various herbs, such as myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, aloe and saffron. Typically 45% ABV.
1 tsp
A concentrated aromatic bitters made in Trinidad from water, ethanol, gentian and other herbs and spices; used in many classic cocktails like the Manhattan.

Serves up to 15. Combine all, except the cinnamon and orange peels, in a slow cooker on medium heat with the lid on. When ready to serve, ladle into mugs or cups and garnish with a cinnamon stick and orange twist. #batch #punch #straight #hot
