A rum aged in charred oak barrels that lend their color to the rum. If a recipe calls for this rum it is likely refuring to a darker colored rum with a rich and strong yet smooth flavor. Common varieties come from Jamaica and Haiti.

An apple brandy from the Normandy region in France using apples from designated orchards, containing at least 20% local varieties, at least 70% bitter or bittersweet varieties, and no more than 15% sharp varieties. Bottled at a minimum 40% AVB.

A 'catch-all' ingredient used in certain cocktails that call for in-depth, specific, or otherwise uncommon spices that aren't available to add to Mixel. The user should specify whats in this mix in the cocktail recipe.

The most common fruit juice used in cocktails. This citrus juice is about 6% acid; pure citric acid. Lemon juice should be used the day it is squeezed, some like it freshly squeezed and others like it a few hours old.

A syrup usually made from the xylem sap of sugar maple, red maple, or black maple trees; 67% sugar by mass. Super duper infamous in Canada. Most cocktails that use maple syrup specifically say to get 'A' grade, the downside is $$$$.

A syrup made famous by Starbucks, that consists of pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin puree, and simple syrup. Used in some holiday-themed cocktails.

Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice and strain into a coupe. #shake #straight


Spice mix - 1 part vanilla simple syrup, 1 part allspice.
